A week subsequent to the launch of the second beta of watchOS 11.2, Apple has now introduced its third testing version. Right now, it is not clear what updates this version consists of unlike other updates from Apple such as watchOS 11 which already includes all the features revealed at WWDC 2024.
With watchOS 11.1, Apple adds two Apple Intelligence features that need an iPhone 15 Pro or a newer model which include the following:
Since watchOS 11 serves as a minor update after the extensive release of watchOS 10 however, it is still uncertain what further developments Apple has planned for the users of Apple watch.
For example, the company announced the new sleep apnea detection capability which will be there in watchOS 11, although it has yet to be launched in additional countries. The introduction of watchOS 11.2 beta 3 might signal its rollout to more areas.
According to Apple, sleep apnea is a concerning condition in which the breathing of a person repeatedly halts during sleep. The company further added that this condition affects around 1 billion people from all corners of the world which often goes undiagnosed. However, if sleep apnea is left untreated, it can lead to significant health issues including higher risks of hypertension, cardiac problems, Type 2 diabetes, etc.
Along with watchOS 11.2 beta 3, the third testing version of tvOS 18.2 and visionOS 2.2 have also been rolled out by Apple a few days earlier. Apple users need to wait for any more features to be added to these betas by the company.
