We should expect Apple to launch their M4 Mac lineup as soon as this month. The new lineup will include refreshes to iMac, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini. According to a report, these are the first devices to get the M4 transition.
It is possible that the company might launch them this month but the shipping will start next month.
RAM
According to a report from Mark Gurman, Apple is likely to ship at least 16GB RAM on the new Macs, including the base model 14” MacBook Pro, the new Mac Mini, and the new iMac.
For the past 8 years, Apple has been shipping only 8GB RAM on its base model Macs. So, this will be a welcoming change. This transition to 16GB from 8GB makes sense as Apple Intelligence will be more memory-intensive on these devices.
There are some rumors that the Mac Mini will feature the biggest redesign in its 14-year history. The new model of Mac Mini is expected to shrink significantly. So, it is likely that they might remove support for the USB-A ports on the devices. However, it should gain some additional USB-C ports to make up for it.
We don’t really know much about it for now. It should be exciting because it is the cheapest Mac from the company.
Apple may also release a new color for the cheapest MacBook Pro models. For now, Space Black is reserved for the higher-tier M3 Pro and M3 Max processors.
This year, it seems that Apple is likely to release its Space Black color to the cheapest M4 MacBook Pro.
There are also rumors that Apple might finally refresh all of its magic accessories. This is because Apple has to comply with the European Union’s USB-C mandate by the end of the year.
