Apple Unveils watchOS 11: Latest Features and Designs

On Monday, September 16, 2024, Apple unveiled its latest watchOS 11 loaded with many health features, custom controls, new watch faces, a Tap to Cash facility, and more. Users are even more excited to get these specifications in their Apple Watch Series 9 and 10, and Apple Watch Ultra 2. 

The much talked about function is the sleep apnea notification to help identify its symptoms before they get severe. With the FDA approval, it is the first over-the-counter device that has gone through a clinical trials. 

From daily activity, to step counts and calories burned during workouts, you can check your health metrics in the new Vitals app. It automatically tracks any changes in the health status, using real-world data from the Apple Heart and Movement Study.

It is liked by professional athletes and every individual because it displays unique training insights by comparing seven or month-long workout sessions. The activity rings can be customized as per the user’s schedule and the rest days can be paused without impacting the previous health record. Additionally, pregnant women can take care of their overall fitness with the Cycle Tracking app that shows a user’s gestational age. 

Reviewers of Apple watchOS 11 are also excited about the Smart Stack to access important information conveniently, new interactive widgets; and live activities are also included in this feature. 

Moreover, check in your workout any time of the day and track the duration to improve the workout discipline. The Translation App is available on the watch, with  integrated machine learning for quick speech recognition. Not to forget, the Tap to Cash feature to transfer money by simply holding two iPhones near each other.
