A press release on 28 October showed Apple the refreshed iMac with M4 and Apple Intelligence. Apple switches from lightning to USB-C cable in its Mac lineup accessories.

The company announced that the new accessories, including the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad, all have USB-C charging points. After a wait of around 9 years since 2015 Apple introduced the lightning port in Macbooks, and it finally switched to USB-C.

Moreover, the company started selling the desktop accessories individually with the same pricing. The Magic Keyboard starts at $199 with a touch ID and numeric keypad, the Magic Mouse costs $99, and $149 for the Magic Trackpad.

However, nothing more has changed with the design of the upgraded iMac. The USB-C port is still on the bottom of the Magic Mouse which annoyed most users. All three accessories are available in black and white colors. Apple also brings new colors of iMacs like shades of green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, and blue, alongside silver.

Meanwhile, the matching shades of Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard, and Magic Trackpad will be available for shipping from November 8. Under the EU regulators, Apple commanded the shift of lightning ports to USB-C.

Alongside, Apple equipped new iMacs with M4 chips to experience the fast processing and advanced graphics architecture. The M4 iMac handles workloads, photo editing, and gaming 2.1x faster than the M1 iMac.

Furthermore, the new iMac with M4 supports Apple Intelligence features redesigned Siri, writing tools, Image Playground, Genmoji, ChatGPT, and more.
