Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced its first ROG Phone 9 Series powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for high-performance gaming.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite processor features the Qualcomm® Oryon™ CPU and enhanced Qualcomm® Adreno™ GPU. Asus revealed that the ROG Phone 9 Series will be officially available on November 19, 2024.

The upcoming ROG phone features a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform that is expected to become the fastest Android smartphone. Asus confirms that the next lineup will have enough potential for gaming.

In addition to the hype of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, Xiaomi added its name that Xiaomi 15 will be running on it. Honor also confirmed that its Magic7 series handset would support Qualcomm’s latest chipset.

Moreover, the ROG Phone series has iconic LED lighting and the tagline reads, “AI on, game on”, which suggests that more AI technology is equipped with phones.

Meanwhile, the ROG Phone 8 Pro flagship has advanced AI features in gaming and major features like text recognition. But with the cutting-edge Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, the more creative AI built-in technology would be expected in its successor.

According to the previous leaks, it is suggested that the ROG Phone 9 series could come with 24GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, and 65W wired charging.

Asus stated in a press release, “With its signature gamer-centric design ethos, the ROG Phone 9 series is designed to offer an immersive, lag-free gaming experience, making it a must-have for serious gamers and technology lovers alike.”

However, Asus released the launch date of the ROG Phone 9 series but not the details of the Android phone.
