Halliday Glasses have jumped onto the smart eyewear bandwagon, boasting proactive AI support. It also has a near-eye display that effortlessly integrates information into the wearer’s line of sight.

This innovative startup reveals that its flagship product will hit the market sometime after CES, with the shipping expected to start ‘by the end of Q1 2025’. The price tag is supposed to be in the range from $399 to $499, locating it above rivals such as $299 Meta Ray-Bans and Solos AirGo Vision which lacks display capabilities.

According to Halliday, the ‘DigiWindow’ is located in the upper right corner of the frame. It has been labeled as the smallest and lightest near-eye display module in the world. It can offer information to the users, whether they have perfect vision or need corrective lenses.

The display manifests as a 3.5-inch screen in the upper-right quadrant of the view of the wearers making sure minimal obstruction and visibility even in bright sunlight.

The integrated display collaborates with an AI assistant that intuitively understands the needs of the users by analyzing conversations responding to inquiries and offering insights without any prompts.

Halliday explains that during meetings, for example, the AI can proactively tackle difficult questions, generate concise meeting notes afterward, and summarize essential discussion points.

To make use of these AI features, the glasses must connect to a smartphone through Bluetooth. However, Halliday did not disclose the Pacific AI model in use or if there are any additional costs.

The glasses offer a wide range of functionalities that include real-time AI translation in up to 40 languages, voice-to-text note transcription, live navigation assistance, etc. Users can also check and respond to messages, view notes as if using a teleprompter, and create audio memes.

The near-eye display is compatible with both prescription lens as well as frames without lenses.
