Apple’s iPad Mini 7 built for Apple intelligence is coming soon but with a twist. The tablet will not include a power adapter. This is partly because the tech giant is planning on reducing electronic waste, which is also part of EU regulations that will be enforced starting in 2026.

Many countries like the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and others will not be able to get their hands on an iPad Mini 7 box, fully equipped with a charger and Apple stickers. Some countries that are not even part of the EU are also impacted.

Not to ignore the fact that earlier this year, the launch of the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air models were introduced also did not include a charger in the box in the EU. However, countries like the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Brazil will be able to land with a 20W USB-C charger.

Also, Apple’s own goal is to reduce plastic waste from its packaging, so customers might not be able to receive Apple sticker goodies in their boxes. This is the trend we have seen all year long with Apple’s latest releases of Vision Pro, iPad Pro, iPad Air models, and iPhone 16 series. All of these gadgets weren’t equipped with Apple stickers. However, customers can ask for these stickers from the Apple retail stores they are purchasing from.

As for the upcoming iPad Mini 7, one good thing is that it will include a USB-C charging cable with it. The device is launching on October 23 and Apple has started accepting pre-orders.
