Apple has recently rolled out iPhone 16 and the next latest device iPhone SE 4 from the tech giant is now the talk of the town. The company has not released iPhone SE since 2022, so it is fair to get eager to see the next version, which could happen in early 2025.
Japanese blog Macotakara shared visuals of two iPhone SE dummy units on Sunday, October 20. The upcoming flagship smartphone iPhone SE 4 looks very similar to the iPhone 14 model, which was the initial anticipation.
According to the blog, the phone will feature the edge-to-edge display, Face ID, and the notch, the first ever iPhone SE to do that. The phone will feature a single rear camera and could come with an A18 chip, similar to what’s in the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. It might also feature significant camera upgrades and a 5G modem designed by Apple. The phone might even support Apple Intelligence.
Since the iPhone 14 sports a mute switch instead of the Action Button, the iPhone SE 4 will also be equipped with the mute switch. However, this mute switch will be smaller than the one on the iPhone 14. As for the other buttons, they are also in the same position. The cut-outs for the mute switch and the charging port at the bottom, and the raised areas for the volume and power buttons, are all where they should be.
Macotakara has also shared a dummy unit of a larger iPhone SE 4 Plus, a model Apple has never released before. While the iPhone SE 4 features a 6.1-inch display, the SE 4 Plus would boast a 6.5-inch screen. So far, there hasn’t been any mention of an iPhone SE 4 Plus, which raises questions about whether such a device is truly in the works.
All of these leaks are conjecture for now. So as the date for the release comes closer, the more rumors and leaks will keep pouring out.
