The iQoo 13 has created a buzz among users as one of the major flagship smartphones with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Looking ahead, according to the rumors, the next generation will consist of a Pro Model equipped with a periscope camera.
While the current Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship from iQoo does not have a Pro variant, the much-expected iQoo 14 series is anticipated to change this. Experience More, a well-known tipster has revealed on the Chinese platform Weibo that the upcoming flagship lineup will consist of two models. The models that will be included are a Pro variant and a standard version.
As per the leaker, both models will present flat screens which is a trend that has gained traction among Chinese flagship devices. The Weibo insider highlighted that the differentiating feature of the iQoo 14 Pro, will be its periscope telephoto lens.
However, it is still unclear whether both iQoo 14 Pro and the standard model will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2. There could be a possibility that one might be powered by the successor to the Dimesiy 9400.
Another notable tipster, Smart Pikachu hinted that the upcoming flagship series could consist of Samsung OLED displays. These displays are supposed to feature micro-quad-curved screens with resolutions of 1.5K and 2.5K. This comes as a significant shift for the iQoo 14 series, as previous generations relied on OLED panels from BOE and Visionox.
Smart Pikachu also suggested that Vivo might also adopt Samsung LTPO panels for its next offerings. Beyond these details, not many details about available about the iQoo 14 series, however, given that it focuses on games, the lineup could potentially introduce a new Q3 chip designed to boost the gaming experience for players.
Both upcoming models may also retain the RGB lightning feature which is found around the camera island of the current Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship.
