LG is not holding back until CES to launch its exciting new range of gaming monitors. At the forefront of the 2025 collection is the UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor. It has been labeled by LG as the “world’s first 5K2K-resolution bendable OLED display.”
While that’s a rather precise claim, it is certainly a point of pride to be the first in the game. This impressive 45-inch monitor boasts a stunning resolution of 5120×2160. It offers the same vertical pixel count as a standard 4K display but with a much broader gaming landscape.
With the 21:9 aspect ratio, LG emphasizes that this monitor delivers a more impressive gaming experience than traditional 16:9 displays while making sure of better content capability than 32:9 monitors.
This unique format also makes it an excellent choice for productivity tasks when the players are not in deep gaming action. The UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor (model 45GX990A) can shift from an absolutely flat surface to a 900R curvature. The latest iteration of LG’s dual mode feature allows users to effortlessly toggle between resolution and refresh rate presets along with customizing the aspect ratio and picture size.
It is certified for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, although the press materials have yet to disclose a maximum refresh rate. In addition to this, LG is introducing a non-bendable version featuring a fixed 800R curve.
Besides this, it shares the same 45-inch size, aspect ratio, and 5K2K resolution. As per LG’s press release, users can expect “sharp, lifelike images with the stunning colors and exceptional contrast that LG OLED products are renowned for.”
As is customary with CES announcements, pricing and a specific release date for the device will be revealed later in 2025, however, users can look forward to experiencing these innovations in person.
