Samsung Stars Rolling Out Wear OS 5 to Older Galaxy Watch Models

It is a piece of great news for the owners of older Samsung Galaxy Watches that the company has now announced that it is now going to launch One UI 6 Watch to its previous versions of Wear OS smartwatches. 

One UI 6 Watch represents the version of Wear OS 5 of Samsung and also introduces a variety of new functionalities for the users. In terms of health and fitness, this also consists of AI-driven health advice along with FDA-approved sleep apnea detection and Energy score which is a new metric designed to assess recovery from physical stress and workouts of users. 

The users of Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Ring and Ultra will be able to understand in a better way how these functions work on the device. In addition to these features, the new Workout Routine feature allows users to customize their workouts by incorporating different types of activities to stay fit and healthy. 

This update also includes the Race feature for users who are both runners are well as cyclists, the feature allows for a comparison of the current workouts with the previous ones. 

Along with the health features, One UI 6 Watch also provides new watch faces along with improved interaction with other Galaxy devices, the owners of Galaxy phones will be able to access AI-recommended replies and the double pinch gesture. Although the pinch gesture was once available for the users as an accessibility feature, this update brings it into the main interface for easier use. 

However, you might not receive an update right away about the same, Samsung has indicated that it will first be available on Galaxy Watch 6 before the users of Galaxy Watch FE, Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 models are able to use it, the update might be available for these devices over the coming weeks.
