Sonos Announced the Arc Ultra and Sub 4 With Cutting-Edge Technologies

On October 15, Sonos announced the release of the Arc Ultra soundbar and Sonos Sub 4 subwoofer. The price availability of the Arc Ultra is $999 and the Sub 4 is $799. The company claimed that the latest two products are integrated with cutting-edge technology and better designs.

“We’ve worked tirelessly to resolve the most critical app issues and most requested legacy features. We have reached a level of quality that gives us the confidence to launch our extraordinary new products,” said Patrick Spence, CEO of Sonos.

He added, “As we laid out in our commitments we will continue to improve the software regularly, and are determined to make the Sonos experience better than it’s ever been.”

Sonos Arc Ultra 

  • Improvement in the bass with transducer technology called Sound Motion.
  • The new small innovative design of Arc Ultra for better sound. 
  • It uses a 9.1.4 setup for spatial audio experience.
  • It has a Speech Enhancement feature to customize the clarity of sound.
  • Sonos’ Trueplay app is available on iOS and Android to set tune. 
  • The Arc Ultra has a matte finish, curved design, and touch controls behind it. 

Sonos Sub 4 

  • It has a similar design to Sub 3 but has improved power and memory.
  • It is Sonos’ fourth-generation subwoofer with better wi-fi radio connectivity.
  • It has ‘inward-facing’ 8-inch speakers to neutralize distortions.
  • It is compatible with Arc Ultra, Arc, or Beam and older versions of Sub.
  • It consumes 50% less power in idle mode. 
  • Sonos Sub 4 weighs around 26 pounds. 

According to Macrumors report, Sonos claims that the update will “reintroduce 90 percent of the new app’s missing features.”
