Sony has started to sell refurbished PlayStation 5 consoles directly on its online store- direct.playstation.com at a discounted price.
Therefore, the refurbished consoles refer to consoles that users can return for different reasons and send back for a refund. It might be the fault and repair damage in the consoles or users changing their minds after unboxing it, reasons vary from person to person.
For this reason, Sony resold the PlayStation 5 consoles with a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty. “As good as new”, Sony said in its announcement with lower prices than new consoles and the same quality.
Sony committed to selling certified refurbished PlayStation 5 consoles cost $399.99 in the US and digital edition consoles cost $349.99. On the other hand, a PS5 refurbished console with a disc drive is currently available for £389.99 in the UK.
Meanwhile, Sony is rolling out the PlayStation 5 Pro console in November and resold the refurbished PS5 console rather than the PS5 slim console.
It is also remarked that buying a refurbished PS5 console can save you $100 or $90, comparing the price of PS5 Slim which costs $$499.99 / £479.99 full price.
Sony also said, “Every PlayStation certified refurbished product completes a rigorous recertification process that includes full testing that meets the same functional standards as new PlayStation products.”
The company added, “Your certified refurbished product works like new.”
Furthermore, Sony has always worked to upgrade the quality of PlayStation 5 consoles which increased in price. Hence, this is the golden time to buy a PS5 console at discounted rates.
