Ugreen launches Desk Charger that can charge five laptops at once

Ugreen has unveiled an upgraded version of its Nexode desktop GaN charger, increasing the total power output from 330W to an impressive 500W. It comes with a maximum of 240W available from a single USB-C port.

This new model is equipped with five USB-C ports and one USB-A port that allows users to charge up to five laptops simultaneously without any issues of a cluttered power strip filled with bulky adapters.

The pricing details for the Nexode Desktop Charger 500W are yet to be determined as it has been expected to hit the market in March 2025. While this charger would certainly streamline your travel charging setup, it has been designed as a substantial unit meant to remain on your desk, on a kitchen counter, or in a workshop.

Its versatility makes it ideal for environments where multiple power-hungry devices like handheld gaming consoles, laptops, etc are in use. Ugreen also claims that it can effectively charge power tools as well as e-bikes.

This charger is compatible with USB-PD 3.1 and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast-charging standards. This primary port can offer up to 240W while the remaining five ports share a total of 260W with none exceeding 100W individually.

For example, one could charge a gaming laptop at 240W, two additional laptops at 100W each and one more at 60W or alternatively, one laptop at 240W alongside four laptops at 60W, with an extra drawing of 20W from the USB-A port.

Lacking a display, the charger might need users to refer to a guide to remember which port to make use of for optimal charging. Ugreen Nexode does not have a price tag yet, but even when it gets one later this year, getting one to use in India might still be a difficult task for users.
