Nikon Introduced the Z50II Mirrorless Camera With a “Picture Control Button”

Nikon announced the new Z50II, a mirrorless camera that effortlessly captures fully compact and amazing videos and photos. 

Fumiko Kawabata, Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Planning, at Nikon Inc, said, “This camera benefits from some of the best technology from our acclaimed pro-level cameras, but it’s small enough to tag along for anywhere life takes you.”

The entry-level Z50II is Nikon’s first APS-C and DX-format camera with an EXPEED 7 powerful engine alongside a “Picture Control Button”. Through the picture control button, everyone can experience the real-time 31 built-in colors which efficiently change the color, tone, and visuals. 

Features of the Nikon Z50II 

  • It features a 20.9-megapixel APS-C/ DX-format sensor which captures immersive-quality images with low-light abilities. 
  • Dedicated Picture Control Button and custom Imaging recipes that change color, brightness, hue, and more.
  • Expeed 7 image processor allows to shoot at 30 ps with electronic shutter or up to II with mechanical shutter.
  • Bright electric viewfinder at 1000 cd/m2 (nits) helps to capture photos on the brightest days.
  • N-LOG recording, product review mode, waveform monitor, microphone, and headphone jack features are available for videos.
  • A pre-release capture feature records 1 second of 30 JPEG images before the full shutter button is pressed.
  • Support for USB helps to connect with smartphones and computers easily.
  • REC lamp (tally light) indicates to the users and the other person that the video is recording.
  • The MC-DC3 is a remote cord that is 3.1 ft/ 1m in length helps minimize the effects of camera shake while using a tripod. 

The Nikon Z50II mirrorless camera will be available in late November 2024. It costs around $909.95 for the body only. Along with a 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens will be priced at $1049.95. The two lens kit with the 16-50mm and 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR lenses will boost cost at $1299.95.
