This slim model is rumored to be announced after the complete release of Galaxy S25 series next year. The device is set to launch in Q2 2025 and will be released separately from the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra lineup.
The upcoming S25 Slim will sport the model number SM-S937U, which is presumed to be the US variant of the device, according to the new listing from GSMA IMEI database.
It is important to note that this exciting possibility comes months after whispers of an iPhone 17 Slim. As rumored in the past, Apple is planning a big change to the iPhone lineup next year with an all-new iPhone 17 Slim model. So, Samsung eyeing on thinner model lineup is no surprise.
The rumored slimmer iPhone 17 is expected to feature a 6.6-inch display and a single rear camera, but it’s still unclear what compromises Samsung might make with its Galaxy S25 Slim. Samsung may need to modify certain components to accommodate a distinct design, thus it is possible that a slim Galaxy may compromise the processor, display, battery, and camera capabilities.
